My life is precious, a life my mom gave as a gift. I’m here for a purpose. as long as I am 6 feet above the ground, I have the opportunity to make the most of my life, a dream with a vision to help others.

Today, we say goodbye to our Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandma and great-great grandma. Individuals all grieve in many different ways; some will be lost, hurt, or stay away because of the fear of acknowledging that mom had passed. Some will be lost in their thoughts, say nothing, or blame themselves that they should’ve been there when you took your last breath.
Mom, you and I butted heads over the years because I was that child who spoke the truth. When you and I last talked at the hospital, you didn’t understand why you could not come home. All I could say was your decision you chose was yours and only yours to make that I(Brenda) was ok with this decision (as I held back my tears)
Before I let the Angels take your wings, I thank you for giving me my Life, a life that taught me how to cook, do dishes, clean, the meaning of work ethic and be the one strong individual to help others.
I now understand why you always sat on me on the side of the potato patch – watch, observe, listen to the sound of nature and be there to help others, forever grateful for the Life we shared.
RIP – Mom Shirley, your wings are ready to fly. Be at peace with Dad, Grandpa & Grandma Abernethy.
From My Heart – the only child that sat on the side of the Potato patch.

“Do Not” be afraid to write your story, Brenda, about your illness; it’ll help others understand why you chose to go into the Wellness and Beauty Industry. “MOM”
