Not only is February 14th is a day to love your Valentine. February is also known as Heart Month, the month in acknowledgement of the importance to focus on my cardiovascular health. February I focusing on taking time to care for my heart, it can be challenging as I go about my everyday activities.

Showing the love for my heart each day it deserve is easier than I thought. Eating a healthy balance meals, full of fruits, vegetables like raspberries, broccoli, red grapes and more. I even introduce avocados into my diet to my surprise I have fallen in love with avocado knowing they add good fats to my meal.

I get my blood pumping into my heart, by walking daily and attend two exercise classes weekly at Health Exercise Clinic I joined back in September 2020. I love circuit training it gives me a feeling where I need to challenge myself a little more each time, but within my limitations.

Stress in not a good friend of mine. I hold stress in my neck, shoulders and feel the tightness in my chest. The biggest challenge for myself was learning to let go of things in my life like negativity, stress and walking away from individual who cause me stress.
